This video tape features Dr. Irene Pepperberg and her famous research subject, Alex the African Grey. In it, Dr. Pepperberg provides examples of the model/rival training techniques she uses to encourage parrots to communicate rather than mimic. In addition, bird behaviorist Chris Davis adapts these techniques to train other parrots. A percentage of all proceeds will benefit the Alex Foundation.
